Hi! We are the “World Citizen Training Center,” a club in Samcheok Girls' High School in Korea, and Hwang In-gyung teahcer is leading us. Nice to meet you! This club consists of 7 students. We are 17 years old, senior in high school!
We are working on the main project to read a book and share our thoughts with you. We chose one of the books we received, and we are reading each of them. We'll ask you some questions after we finish reading the book, so please leave your thoughts in below comments!
In addition, we separated into two teams working on one project respectively to grow a global citizenship. One is about ‘Dokdo’, and the other is about ‘COVID-19’.
First, we'll talk about 'Dokdo Project'. Have you ever heard “Dokdo”? Dokdo is historically Korea's territory, but Japan insists that it is their island. Even the sea around Dokdo is not labeled 'East Sea' but ‘Sea of Japan'. we wonder how it is written on the world map you see. You can find it by looking for Korea on the map and checking the sea to the right of Korea. Please leave a comment on how it is written :)
Now, we'll tell you about the other one, 'COVID-19 Project'. We're going to investigate the impact of COVID-19 on Korea by dividing it into four areas: education, media, environment, and diplomacy. We really wonder what Greece is like! When we finish the project, we'll hand out our report and poster that we make. We want to share what your situation is like!
